From 6.45 a.m. to 9.45 a.m. (morning section)

From 10.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m.(day section)

Saturday: 10.45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No books will be issued on Saturday, Sunday and other holidays.(During summer and winter recess the library is ready to serve its users).

About the Library

Bangabasi evening College Library The Library has a collection of 17219 books on various subjects taught along with encyclopaedias, dictionaries, reference etc.  
The Library plays a vital role in acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge to satisfy the Institute's vision.  
The Library is member of NLIST of INFLIBNET and DELNET for e-resources like books, journals etc. This caters the interest of faculty members. Some back volumes of journals like University News, Economic and Political Weekly, Current Science, India Journal of Chemistry , Section A, Science & Culture are also available in the library.
All teachers, non-teaching staff and students are members of the library. Retired teachers, non-teaching staff, ex-students may use the reading room facilities after the permission of authority. Member of others colleges in the same premises may also take reading room facilities after the permission of the authority. Various services are offered for users : Lending (issue and return of books, journals), Reference/reading room facilities, Display of new arrivals, Card Catalogue (manual and computer version), Internet, OPAC, e-resources of books,journals,theses and dissertations,video cassettes,sound recordings etc., Bibliographic services, Users orientation about the library, reading room facilities availed with permission from Bangabasi College Library, inter library loan from DELNET. It undertakes pest control programmes. Presently, the library is under CCTV camera surveillance.
The Reading Room of the Library is well equipped having a seating capacity of 50 students and a separate Reading space for Faculty/Staff Members. 
On-going project : Library has installed KOHA-a open source library software and more than 9402 books have been entered and can be searched on OPAC. The library has introduced automated circulation module for 1st year Students and Teachers. LAN is available for data entry within the library. Wifi facility is available in the library. Feedback from users are always encouraged for the development of the library.
